Mayan art & Mayan sculptures
The Mayan calendar & Mayan historyMayan calendars are a lot different from what we think of when we hear calendars. They’re circular rather than square and they use symbols rather than numbers and dates like we do. There are a lot of different interpretations of Mayan calendars. It’s hard to figure out what interpretation is the most accurate seeing as how there aren’t many Mayans left today. We’re all speculating on something that’s completely foreign to use due to our ethnocentric mindset. As a result, what we think might be a doomsday scenario could be nothing more than an unfinished calendar. We don’t know exactly what mysteries Mayan calendars hold. We can look at them over and over to see what we can derive from them next, but in the end, our conclusions may or may not be correct. What we should do is wait for things to happen and double check them against Mayan calendars. Mayan ceramics & Mayan zodiac symbolsMayan zodiac symbols are a lot like the zodiac symbols we’re familiar with, except there are a lot more of them. This makes figuring out what’s going on with them much more difficult than it would be with the zodiac symbols we know. Some people have more problems figuring out what the zodiac symbols we know mean, so it wouldn’t be surprising to figure that they will have a hard time with Mayan zodiac symbols. Plus, it’s a lot more difficult to determine horoscopes with these symbols than it is with the modern ones because the information that you might get from them could be just as outdated as the symbols themselves. You should do some research into Mayan zodiac symbols to see if they’re going to provide you with more benefit than the modern zodiac symbols. |
